Sei Is Cutting the Code. Giga Is Getting Closer. ⚡
@Sei_Labs is preparing a major milestone for @Sei Official Network.
The upcoming $SEI v6.8 release is set to remove approximately 165,000 lines of code, marking the biggest cleanup in Sei's history.
Here's the breakdown: • 239,000 lines added • 404,000 lines removed • ~165,000 net lines eliminated
Around 70% of the removals come from legacy components retired under SIP-3, the proposal driving Sei's transition to an EVM-only architecture.
But this is more than a code cleanup.
Version 6.8 is in final testing, while Eidos, the storage overhaul powering Sei Giga, is nearing completion.
The ultimate goal? 200,000 transactions per second.
A leaner codebase, a simplified architecture, and a network built for massive throughput.
$SEI is moving closer to its Giga vision. The real test will be delivering that performance at scale. 🚀
