Update #9 – Nov 6 | Further Expansion of Supported Assets
Additional assets are now supported across BSC, ETH, Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, Polygon, TRON, SUI and other networks.
Looking across all 9 updates the response process can be divided into three phases
Oct 30–31: Containing the incident and assessing the damage while preparing resources for compensation.
Nov 1–4: Restoring asset access and increasing compensation coverage while expanding PoR verification capabilities.
Nov 5–6 : Expanding supported assets and withdrawal networks.
According to Binance’s preliminary investigation report published on Nov 3 several actions have been implemented
Binance Security & Wallet: Addressed intrusion points and rebuilt affected wallet systems while reviewing transaction signing procedures and handling unauthorized EIP-7702 permissions.
Blockchain partners: Traced fund flows and supported efforts to freeze and prevent the movement of related assets.
Law enforcement agencies: Coordinated investigations into the origin of the attack.
Independent third parties: Invited by Binance to assess the incident and verify the investigation findings.
Binance has also made data and tools publicly available so users can conduct their own checks through Proof of Reserves (PoR) and Zero-Knowledge proofs as well as monitor withdrawal restoration status.
This gives the community more ways to follow the situation instead of relying solely on statements from the exchange.
Trust does not return with a single announcement. It takes action and verifiable data along with transparency throughout the recovery process.
The 9 updates mark important milestones in the investigation and reflect real changes in how Binance protects user assets.
