Google Cloud revenue DOUBLED last quarter.

Alphabet's stock still crashed 12.6% in a day.

Here's the scorecard. In just 90 days, Microsoft, Alphabet, Meta and Amazon burned a combined $209 BILLION on AI data centers:

🟱 Microsoft — Azure +48%, free cash flow still positive at $18.6B. Stock verdict: flat. Forgiven.

🔮 Alphabet — Google Cloud +103%, but capex of $51.4B exceeded its operating cash flow. Free cash flow: NEGATIVE $9.1B. Stock: -12.6%, almost $400B of value gone in a day.

🔮 Meta — Revenue beat, first negative free cash flow in over a decade. Stock: -7%.

🍎 And Apple? Spent almost nothing on AI capex — and trades at a record high, worth over $5 trillion.

Read that again. The market wants AI growth, but it punishes whoever actually pays for it.

The scariest part isn't the spending. It's how it's funded now. Alphabet raised $84.75B in equity — the largest raise in US corporate history. Meta followed with a $97.5B programme. The AI buildout no longer runs on profits. It runs on belief.

And it's accelerating: roughly $800B of hyperscaler capex in 2026 becomes a projected $1.3 TRILLION in 2027.

The next verdict lands November 17: Nvidia earnings. The supplier collecting most of that $209B now has to prove the bill was worth it.

My take: demand is real — backlogs don't lie. But a boom funded by belief instead of cash flow only needs one bad quarter to reprice everything.

Your call on Nvidia, Nov 17:

A) Beat + raise — the AI rally reloads 🚀

B) Even a beat won't save it — the bill is too big 🧊
