Ethereum lost 7.72% in a single day — and it was not even the worst of the majors.
$ETH is trading at $2,240.03 on 6 November, down 7.72% in 24 hours. Its day high was $2,437.10 and its day low $2,206.28.
Just two days ago, ETH looked steady above $2,400. It closed at $2,424.61 on 4 November and $2,408.07 on 5 November. Then the whole market turned.
What happened:
• A sharp fall in US tech stocks dragged crypto lower.
• $BTC traded above $80,800 early on Thursday, then fell below $76,000. It now sits at $76,172, down 5.57% in 24 hours.
• The drop was market-wide, not an ETH-only story. $SOL is at $89.67 (-6.22%), XRP at $1.2133 (-7.08%), DOGE at $0.07163 (-7.08%), BNB near $688.38 (-4.38%) and ADA near $0.180 (-8.57%). The median top-500 coin fell 6.61% in 24 hours.
How ETH behaved:
• ETH pushed above $2,400 on 4 November and closed there two days in a row.
• Its closes then stepped lower, and on 6 November it gave back the whole $2,400 level in one move.
Two neutral scenarios from here:
• If ETH closes back above $2,400, this drop reads as a one-day flush.
• If it stays below $2,300, the slide could extend — or reverse just as fast. Neither is a prediction.
Takeaway: when the whole market falls together, a single coin's chart is only half the story. Watch the market, not just one price.
