🛡️ Recovery & Freezing Efforts ($3 Billion Locked)

In the hours immediately following the exploit, a rapid coordinated effort between Binance, law enforcement, Chainalysis, and stablecoin issuers contained roughly $3.0 Billion:
Issuer On-Chain Blacklisting ($2.7B+):
Tether (USDT), Circle (USDC), and Ripple executed emergency smart-contract freezes blacklisting attacker wallet addresses containing ~$2.67 Billion in stablecoins before they could be bridged or swapped.
Arbitrum Security Council initiated an emergency intervention freezing 74.6 Million ARB and 8,426 ETH (~$39 Million).
Unrecoverable Assets (~$2.4B – $3.3B):
The hackers anticipated freezes and raced the clock by swapping USDT into ETH via decentralised liquidity pools (Aave, Uniswap).
They successfully locked over 420,000 ETH and 18,270 BTC beyond issuer reach into non-custodial addresses and mixers.
User Compensation Commitment:
CEO Richard Teng announced that Binance corporate funds, treasury reserves, SAFU (Secure Asset Fund for Users), and futures insurance funds would absorb the full ~$6.34B loss. No user suffered a direct balance loss.
