*1. What Is Spot? - Simple Explanation*
Spot is real buying. You buy the coin, it is yours.
Example: You buy 0.001 BTC for $100. If BTC goes down 50%, you still have 0.001 BTC. You can wait. Price can come back. You will never get liquidated. You can sleep peacefully.
My rule: If you are new, 90% of your money should be in Spot only. This is your learning ground.
*2. What Is Futures? - Why It Is Dangerous*
Futures is not buying the coin. You are betting on price with borrowed money.
Example: You have $100, you use 20x leverage, you are trading like you have $2000. If price moves 5% against you, you lose 100%. Liquidated. $0.
Futures is fast, but it is a professional tool. It has funding fees, liquidation price, margin call. If you don't understand these 3 words, don't touch Futures.
*3. My New System That Works For Me*
After my liquidation, I made a strict system:
- 80% Spot: BTC + ETH only. Long term DCA. This is my safe money.
- 20% Futures: Only after 6 months of Spot experience. Max 3x-5x leverage. Max 1% risk per trade. Stop Loss always.
