Everyone's long BNB. The big wallets are barely positioned at all.
Retail long/short on BNB is sitting at 2.71 while smart money is only 1.05. That gap is the loudest thing on my screen today. Funding also cooled from 0.0063% down to 0.0013% and open interest fell 2.4%, so the longs are quietly unwinding rather than building. Price stuck near 701, pivot right there, 717 above and 680 below. I'm not touching it.
BTC at 78.3K, up about 1.2%, but the move came on roughly a quarter of normal volume. OBV is heading down and taker buy is 0.84x. That's sellers hitting bids into thin books, not buyers stepping in. Two different things and people keep mixing them up.
Gold at 4,047 with Eurozone inflation at 4% and US 10 year yields pushing higher tells the story better than any crypto chart. Mortgage applications falling, lending rules getting tighter, and stocks drifting on midterm noise. That is a defensive backdrop. Fear reading at 34 fits it.
So I'm watching BTC 77,620. Lose that with open interest still bleeding and I'll treat this bounce as something to fade, not chase.
My read only, not advice. What are you holding through this?
