Adding one more day of data forced a correction, and it's the bearish kind.
Turnover: Oct 30 $11.7B → Nov 1 $2.89B (40% of the 5-day average) → Nov 2 $7.48B (104%) → Nov 3 $5.57B (78%). The only above-average volume day in this entire cluster was the one that pushed to 2,317.59 and closed back at 2,252.80. That isn't sellers running out of ammo — that's sellers absorbing a full day's buying at that level and winning. 2,306-2,317 is supply with proof behind it.
Second correction: closes are 2,274 / 2,253 / 2,274 / 2,261 — flat, not rising. I was reading a staircase that isn't there.
What does hold is the compression: highs 2,317 → 2,308 → 2,280, lows 2,236 → 2,240 → 2,257, and today's entire range sits inside yesterday's. The coil is tightening faster than I estimated. Meanwhile the 25D has fallen 2,395 → 2,368 while the 99D climbed 2,350 → 2,360 — eight dollars apart, crossing probably tomorrow.
So the filter changes: a break above 2,306 only counts if that day prints at or above average volume, otherwise it's Nov 2 replaying. Below, a close under 2,236 opens 2,172 and 2,100, with one confirming candle if volume is light. And I've dropped the fade at 2,302 entirely — with the range this narrow, the reward doesn't cover the stop.
"Can't fall" is not "about to rise." Only the first one is currently supported by the tape.
