BITCOIN EXPLAINED ₿
Why Can’t Bitcoin Have More Than 21 Million Coins?
One of Bitcoin's most unique features is its limited supply.
Unlike traditional currencies, Bitcoin has a maximum supply written into its protocol:
21 MILLION BTC.
Here's why that matters:
🔹 Limited Supply: Bitcoin's issuance is designed to stop at 21 million BTC.
🔹 Halving Events: Approximately every four years, the block reward for miners is cut in half.
🔹 Predictable Issuance: Anyone can verify Bitcoin's supply rules on the blockchain.
🔹 Scarcity: Its limited supply is one reason people compare Bitcoin to digital gold.
But remember: Limited supply does NOT guarantee a higher price. Bitcoin's value still depends on demand, adoption, market conditions, and many other factors.
💬 What do you think?
Does Bitcoin's 21 million supply limit make it more attractive as a long-term asset?
