Binance was supposed to open $PREDICT trading four days ago. It still hasn't — and nobody at Binance has named a new date.
This wasn't a rumour. Binance announced PREDICT/USDT, PREDICT/USDC and PREDICT/TRY, with a Seed Tag, due to open at 10:00 UTC on 30 October. Then, in the early hours of that day, Binance postponed it "until further notice." No reason given. No new date.
The token hasn't launched at all. The TGE, the Binance Alpha debut and the Season 1 airdrop claim were all delayed with it. Prime Sale buyers who paid $0.29 on 29 October don't hold tokens yet — they hold a PREDICT Key, with delivery due on TGE day. Whenever that is.
What is it? PREDICT is the token of Predict.fun, a prediction market on BNB Chain. The bull case: collateral routed to Venus so capital earns yield while a position is open, plus Binance traffic behind it. The bear case: TechFlow flagged that PREDICT's utility is currently limited to governance, fee discounts and incentives — if protocol revenue never flows back to holders, a fat valuation has nothing underneath it.
There is exactly one place trading this story, and it's not spot. The PREDICTUSDT pre-market perpetual has been live since 25 October, up to 5x leverage, funding capped at +0.005% per 4-hour interval. That cap matters: once a standard perpetual takes over, the band widens to ±2.00%. Conversion only happens once a stable spot index exists — and with spot postponed, there is no spot index. The perp is priced off its own trades, with no anchor.
As of 12:54 UTC today the perp was around $1.25, down about 0.9% on the day and about 13% on the week — still roughly 4.3x the $0.29 sale price, after a pre-market high near $1.99. Two lines to watch: $1.31, roughly the 30 October close, is what a recovery must reclaim; $1.23, today's low area, is what gives way if sellers take control. Open interest is only around $7 million, so thin books can move fast. Remember: pre-market pricing, not a spot price.
But the biggest decision isn't the price. It's a choice you can't undo. Season 1 points holders get 70 million PREDICT, 7% of the 1 billion supply, and Binance's 28 October notice still sets the form deadline at 26 November, 09:00 UTC. Option A: take 35% now and forfeit the other 65% forever. Option B: take 100% after a year of staking. Submit nothing and you default to Option B. One submission, no edits. With the claim date itself now "to be announced," any "claim now" link in your feed is a scam.
The honest risks: a Seed Tag token with 16% of supply unlocking at TGE, about 3% of it not clearly accounted for in the published breakdown; 36% held by team and early backers, locked at TGE but vesting after a 24-month cliff; platform TVL roughly halved since January to ~$10.2 million; and a $400,000 wallet incident at Predict.fun on 27 October, via a compromised docs site, with reimbursement promised. A delay is not a discount. It's uncertainty, priced daily.
What changes everything? One thing: an official new date from Binance. Until then, if you want a tradable read on this BNB Chain bet, check the $BNB chart — holding the $690 zone keeps the ecosystem bid alive, while a daily close below it tells a very different story while PREDICT waits.
Which would you pick — 35% now, or 100% in a year?
