The midterms vote today, but for crypto the real prize is a law that may not come until 2027. 📰

Bitfinex Alpha, published 3 November, notes that voters decide 35 Senate seats, all 435 House seats and 36 governorships today, with Polymarket pricing a Democratic Senate at about 69 percent and a Democratic House at about 94 percent on 30 October, while Senate cloture on the CLARITY Act market structure bill failed 49 to 50 on 15 September and has not been rescheduled. 📊 My reading is that the market has mostly priced in a Democratic House, so the surprise would be a Republican hold, and even then the result decides whether market structure law gets a second attempt in 2027, not what Bitcoin does on Wednesday morning. That makes tonight a volatility event first and a regulation event second.

Does a surprise Republican hold lift crypto this week, or does the market just sell the volatility either way? đŸ€”
