This is a conditional setup â NEAR is trading around $4.15 right now, below the entry zone, so the idea only triggers if price bounces back into $4.24-$4.30 and rejects there. Do not chase it lower without that retest.
Why I like this one: NEAR just broke down hard on the 1H chart, closing the 04:00 UTC 4H candle at $4.12 after holding $4.24-$4.25 for days, with the 06:00 UTC 1H breakdown candle printing a $4.103 low on about 2.5M volume, several times the usual hourly volume. A bounce into the broken $4.24-$4.30 support gives a clean scalp short, with targets at the $4.10 breakdown low, then $4.04 and $3.91, the recent 4H lows.
Invalidation: a 1H close above $4.36 reclaims the broken support and voids this idea â do not hold the short past that.
