Binance Withdrawals Resume in Phases: What Is Actually Open?
A recovery milestone is important. Verifying the specific network is just as important.
Binance’s November 1 Recovery Update #4 outlines the phased restoration of withdrawal services after the reported $6.3 billion security incident.
What we know:
* ~$6.3B: estimated value of affected token assets.
* ~95% replenished: Binance’s latest update says approximately 95% of affected assets have been replenished.
* ~$3B located/frozen: Reuters reports that Binance had located approximately $3 billion of affected assets with industry partners.
* Withdrawals: Reuters reports that the first phase has resumed, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and some stablecoins. Additional assets and networks are being restored in stages.
* Remaining risk: Binance says the remaining approximately 5% consists of less-liquid tokens that may take longer to acquire.
Binance says it will cover the full financial impact of the stolen assets. Its investigation remains ongoing, and a detailed incident review is still to come. Binance Announcement on Binance Square +1
Before transferring: Check the live withdrawal status for the exact asset and network. Temporary delays can occur during a phased restoration. Do not assume that because one network is available, every network for that token is available.
