SCUM servers have officially launched on the Flux games hub today.

As a survival experience, SCUM is built around long-term progression involving your squad, your vehicles, and your base. In a standard peer-to-peer setup, the island halts the moment the host disconnects. Utilizing a dedicated server guarantees that your world remains active constantly, regardless of who is currently playing.

Our hosting plans begin at $10.99/month, offering global coverage with nodes situated in 50+ countries. The highest tier accommodates up to 64 players. Since an unpopulated but fully loaded island requires approximately 10.6 GB of RAM, we ensure that every single plan provides a minimum of 14 GB from the start.

You can manage your entire community directly through your web browser without ever needing to use SSH. The platform features a searchable interface containing all 437 ServerSettings.ini parameters. This allows you to easily adjust the trader economy and raid times, as well as organize a private-server list, whitelists, bans, and admins via SteamID. We also include automatic updates and built-in backups to simplify your server maintenance.

Because our measurements confirmed that a SCUM server cannot be manually instructed to save, we implemented a system where your database is copied consistently every 5 minutes. Full backups are also generated upon startup and every 6 hours, meaning a server restart will cost you the last few minutes of gameplay progress at the absolute most.

New users can try the service with the first week available completely free.
