What do you think of the shopkeeper who keeps buying his own stock?
Either he trusts what he sells completely. Or he’s building a crowd.
That’s the question around $ZRO right now.
On October 6, LayerZero bought another 162,000 ZRO from the open market. Total buybacks so far: roughly 2.54 million tokens, worth about $5.4 million.
Then there’s the ATLAS plan. 75% of certain fees would go toward buying and burning ZRO. Launch is expected on November 30.
But a shopkeeper buying his own stock is not the same as customers lining up.
About 23.6 million ZRO also unlocked on October 20. So while tokens are being bought on one side, new supply has a path to the market on the other.
My question is simple: is this buying the result of outside demand, or an attempt to create it?
I’ll be watching how much real revenue ATLAS fees generate after launch. If it’s small, this story gets weaker.
So what do you think: confidence, or crowd-building?
Not financial advice. DYOR.
