$HYPE went from unlock-day survivor to all-time-high hunter in one day.

This morning the story was the supply test: ~9.92M HYPE unlocked at 23:00 UTC last night, and the tape bid it anyway — $85.50, then $88.50, holding (post-319's unlock-day bid). Then the news landed: Intercontinental Exchange, the NYSE parent, signed a definitive agreement with trade[XYZ] to build REGULATED US perpetual markets on Hyperliquid's HIP-3 infrastructure (The Block + crypto.news, Oct 29). Crypto, equities, commodities, FX perps — Hyperliquid supplies the infra, ICE handles market and clearing. Subject to regulatory approvals.

The tape answered: 13:00 UTC closed $91.23 on $15.6M → 15:00 UTC closed $93.97 on $16.8M, the day's biggest hourly bar → 16:00 UTC tagged $97.74 — two-tenths off the $97.96 all-time high → 17:00 UTC rejected to $94.56, -3.9% off the tag.

Whale money agrees: Lookonchain flagged five whales opening 597,912 HYPE in longs — $52.7M — over a few hours (via crypto.news).

Honest side: RSI 86 on the hour. Scorching — chase risk is real. "Definitive agreement" is not a launch: no contracts named, no timing, approvals pending. And this is still unlock-day tape — 239.4M of 1B circulating (~24%), and u.today's bear math stands: ~591k HYPE/month absorbed vs ~9.9M vesting. The ATH rejected once today already; 17:00's wick low was $93.07.

Levels: $97.96 ATH (hourly close above = price discovery); $93.07 (17:00 wick low — close below = the rejection has legs); $88.50 (old ceiling).

Not a call. Question: does the NYSE-parent headline carry HYPE through $97.96 on the first try, or does unlock-day supply win the argument?
