Today is a big macro day: PCE inflation and US GDP land before the weekend options expiry
September PCE inflation and Q3 US GDP are both due today, Thursday 29 October, with PCE expected near 3.6 percent year over year and core PCE near 3.1 percent, according to previews published this week. Bitcoin is near 81,230 early Thursday Pakistan time, up about 0.5 percent in 24 hours, after the Fed held rates at 3.75 to 4.00 percent on Wednesday.
A soft PCE print would support the relief bounce after the Fed hold. A hot print would put it at risk fast, with the next test already lined up: about 10.9 billion dollars of Bitcoin options expire Friday, with max pain near 78,000. Strategy and Coinbase also report third quarter results after the US close today. Trade small into the data and keep stops respected.
