The Fed held rates. For $BTC, the vote is what matters.

On Oct 28 the FOMC left the federal funds range at 3.75%–4.00% in a 10–2 decision. Both dissenters preferred a 25 bp hike. Chair Kevin Warsh said inflation is still too high and reiterated the Fed will deliver price stability. He avoided a hard December calendar pledge.

Bitcoin's reaction was muted. Spot briefly poked near ~$81.7K, dipped toward the low-$80Ks, then settled back around ~$81.2K. Ahead of the meeting, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs had taken in about $110M on Oct 26 and $176M on Oct 27. Some institutions were already buying the dip into the event.

My take: this is a hawkish hold. The "no hike today" headline was priced in. The real signal is that two voters wanted tighter policy now, and Warsh left the door open to more tightening if data stay hot. Crypto is still trading against a tightening cycle. Short term watches the meeting; plenty of longer-horizon holders treat FOMC as noise.

Levels I'm watching: hold above $80K, and whether $82K can be reclaimed cleanly once the presser settles.
