$SKHYNIX WAIT for entry, with a bullish bias for the next 6–24 hours. Earnings support further upside, but SKHYNIX is approaching resistance with stretched momentum and declining open interest. My preferred setup is a confirmed pullback long.
Volume $1.67bn rolling 24h turnover; today’s first eight UTC hours had 1.86× yesterday’s corresponding volume whic interprtes to Meaningful participation
Open interest is Approximately 396,008 units / $442m; aligned hourly observations show −3.15% over 24h,this shows that positions are closing despite rising price
The important distinction: rising price with falling OI is consistent with position reduction, including possible short covering. It does not establish strong fresh-long accumulation. Dollar-denominated OI increased because price rose; that should not be mistaken for more contracts opening.
The 4h and 1h structures remain bullish. However, this is still a recovery within a larger daily decline: the last completed daily candle’s 50-day EMA was around 1,143.
My interpretation is bullish continuation remains viable, but the current price offers little room before resistance. A sustained break above 1,121 would strengthen the continuation case; losing 1,082 would materially weaken it.
The setup I would watch is a conditional LONG
Require a pullback into 1,093–1,098, a completed 15-minute close above 1,100, and then a retest of the entry area that holds 1,093. If price runs away without that retest, the entry is missed.
My suggestion:
Entry after confirmation 1,094–1,098
Stop-loss 1,076
TP1 — before current resistance 1,118
TP2 — near daily EMA resistance 1,142
TP3 — before prior structural resistance 1,163
Current setup quality Watch
A 1h close below 1,082 followed by a failed reclaim would cancel this long thesis and bring 1,063–1,058, then 1,046 into focus. That would warrant reassessing a short after the retest. For an entry around FOMC, wait for the press-conference reaction and recheck the levels; stops can slip through the announcement.
