Hyperliquid Moves Closer to Regulated US Crypto Markets!

Hyperliquid has outlined a major step toward bringing regulated on-chain perpetual futures to US traders, naming Payward, Kraken’s parent company, as its intended first CFTC-regulated HIP-3* market deployer.

Here’s how the plan works:

🔹 Payward’s Bitnomial would create and manage the markets, including clearing and settlement.

🔹 NinjaTrader Clearing would handle customer accounts.

🔹 HIP-3* introduces optional on-chain access controls, allowing markets to restrict trading to approved users.

📌 Important: This is a proposed expansion, not a completed launch. Regulatory approval and a future network upgrade are still required, while the new permissioning feature remains in testnet.

Why it matters: This could create a new bridge between decentralized trading infrastructure and regulated US derivatives markets.

Hyperliquid is pushing into a space where crypto innovation and traditional financial regulation increasingly meet.
