Kenya's Faida Investment Bank just confirmed what many suspected: institutional money is sitting on the sidelines waiting for clarity.

Their Oak Fund (~$150M AUM, 9,500+ clients) is NOT touching crypto. Why?

"You cannot have a regulated entity trading in unregulated products" - Investment Officer at Faida Bank

Translation: Capital Markets Authority of Kenya hasn't greenlit crypto for regulated funds yet. They're "at the tail end" of virtual asset regulations, but until the CMA gives the nod, institutional flows are locked out.

This is the real bottleneck for crypto adoption in emerging markets. Retail can ape in. Institutions? They need regulatory cover first.

Once Kenya's CMA finalizes crypto regs, expect a wave of pent-up institutional demand. Similar pattern played out in UAE, Hong Kong, and parts of EU.

Keep eyes on African regulatory developments. When the gates open, liquidity follows fast.
