Ripple now has final U.S. approval to run a federally supervised national trust bank.

Ripple National Trust Bank received final approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

The bank is authorized to manage RLUSD reserves, act as collateral trustee for holders, and provide digital asset custody.

RLUSD will still be issued by Ripple’s New York-regulated Standard Custody & Trust Company.

RLUSD has grown to about $2.5 billion, with state and federal regulators watching parts of its setup.
