Ripple has secured final approval from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to establish a national trust bank. Ripple said the bank is authorized to manage RLUSD reserves and provide fiduciary digital asset custody services. The charter adds federal supervision while RLUSD issuance remains with Ripple's New York-regulated Standard Custody & Trust Company. National trust bank charters allow neither deposit-taking nor lending. Ripple said RLUSD has reached a market capitalization of $2.5 billion.
