Anthropic, which is seeking one of the largest IPOs ever, warned investors that it may continue to be targeted by the Trump administration and said it has no intention of changing its current positions. According to Sina Finance, Anthropic’s S-1 filing said its stance on AI safety, political advocacy, public statements, and interactions with policymakers could expose it to heightened scrutiny, political backlash, or disproportionate regulatory action. The filing cited an ongoing lawsuit over the Defense Department’s supply-chain risk designation, export controls, a Federal Trade Commission investigation, potential federal AI regulations, and possible antitrust scrutiny of its partnerships with Amazon, Google, and Microsoft.
