$SUI Sui is a Layer-1 blockchain launched to make transactions fast, low-cost, and scalable. It uses the Move programming language and an object-based design, where assets such as tokens or NFTs are treated as individual “objects” that can be processed in parallel.

Brief history

2021: Mysten Labs was founded by former engineers from Meta’s Diem project.

2022: Sui’s testnets and developer ecosystem began taking shape.

2023-05-03: Sui mainnet launched, and the native SUI token entered the market.

2023–2024: The network expanded into DeFi, NFTs, gaming, and wallet infrastructure.

2025 onward: Development has continued around ecosystem apps, liquidity, and scaling; adoption and token performance remain subject to market conditions and project execution.

What makes Sui different is its parallel transaction processing: transactions involving unrelated objects can be handled simultaneously, rather than strictly one after another. That can improve speed and capacity, but usage, developer adoption, competition, and token supply dynamics are still important risks to monitor.
