Last week Yi He put up the seven-day profit leaderboard and, in the same post, mentioned a strategy for growing her Plaza followers.

That pairing is where a lot of traders get burned. You see the names on top, feel late, and start copying the week without knowing the size, the hedge, or when they actually got out.

A seven-day ranking is a snapshot, not a method, and this one still pulled about 1.2 million views, around a thousand likes, and a few thousand reposts. People read a hot stretch like a map. Same pattern as earlier copy-trade boards during $BTC runs: attention jumped, late money chased $ETH or rotated into $BNB because a visible account was already there, and the next board looked nothing like the last one. Profit and follower growth are different skills. One can be timing plus risk. The other is distribution. When they show up together, the crowd usually keeps the highlight and misses the cost.

Short windows have always flattered a good week more than a process you can repeat. The accounts still standing on the next list are rarely the ones who showed up after the screenshot.

Anyone else seeing seven-day boards get treated like a signal, or is this just another attention cycle?
