The biggest trading mistake isn’t missing a breakout. It’s entering before the market confirms it.

Bitcoin can break above resistance and attract excited buyers, only to fall back below the level. It can also sweep below support, trigger stop-losses, and then recover.

Both situations teach the same lesson: price movement alone is not confirmation.

A bullish setup becomes more convincing when price breaks resistance, holds above it, and successfully retests the level.

A bearish setup gains strength when price loses support and fails to reclaim it.

But neither scenario is guaranteed. The market can change direction at any time.

My trading rule: Wait for confirmation, define your invalidation level, and decide your risk before entering a trade. Protecting capital matters more than catching every move.

Patience is a trading skill, not a missed opportunity.

What do you trust more when trading Bitcoin: the breakout itself or the retest afterward?
