**Day 6 · Mon 26 Oct · Macro & Altcoin pillar**

The search returned mostly old data and nothing clean for this week. The newest usable figures are from April 2026, so I framed them as history and left brackets for live numbers.

🔄 **Is There an Altcoin Rotation? Check ETH/BTC and SOL/BTC Before Believing It**

"Alt season" talk usually skips the one test that matters: do eth and $SOL
L gain against Btc, not just in dollars?

📊 **What the data shows:**
* **Dominance backdrop:** In early October, ETH and XRP fell substantially more than BTC while dominance sat near 60%. That is not rotation. [bitrue](https://www.bitrue.com/blog/bitcoin-dominance-surge-market-analysis-2026)
* **A rotation tell from earlier this year:** On Apr 20, ETH/BTC was 0.0305, recovering from a 90-day low of 0.0286, while SOL's 30-day return was about -2.5% against ETH's +11%. ETH regained relative ground while SOL lagged. [baselight](https://baselight.app/daily-insights/crypto/2026-04-22/mantle-btc-eth-sol-xrp-divergence-30d-large-cap)
* **Today:** check %change solana & btc

⚠️ **Risks:** Dollar gains can come from a rising market lifting everything. Relative strength against BTC, on rising volume, is the cleaner signal.

🔄 **Thesis breaks if:** ETH/BTC makes a new low while BTC.D holds near 60%. That would point to continued capital concentration.

**Before posting**

- Fill the two ratio brackets from Binance's ETH/BTC and SOL/BTC charts.

- The April figures are six months old, so keep the "earlier this year" framing.

- Disclose ETH or SOL if you hold either. They aren't in your Earn register, but your holdings may differ.
