Terra Classic’s roadmap is rebuilding the technical base: Cosmos SDK v0.53 improves IBC interoperability and chain security, while Market Module 2.0 (MM2) is designed to enable bounded $LUNC – $USTC swaps using pre-funded liquidity -not unlimited minting.
👉What MM2 Does❔
MM2 uses oracle-based market pricing, a 0.35% swap fee split between burns and the Oracle Pool, and safety checks that can halt swaps if liquidity or oracle data fails. It restores a potential utility route for USTC, but it is not a repeg mechanism and does not guarantee USTC returns to $1.
👉Repeg Reality:
A true repeg would still require much more than MM2: sustained supply reduction, an active stabilization system, collateral or reserve backing, and deeper exchange liquidity. Current repeg plans remain long-term, community-governed proposals, not completed products.
🎗️MM2 is a meaningful infrastructure step, but USTC repeg remains a high-risk, multi-year thesis, not a near-term certainty.
