$BITCOIN snapshot, Oct 23, 2026

$BTC is trading around $81,400, down about 3.3% over 24 hours, with a market cap near $1.64T. The 24-hour range was roughly $81,000 to $84,300.

• Range-bound: Over the past week or so, BTC has mostly oscillated between about $80,000 and $84,000. Daily closes on Oct 14–21 stayed between roughly $81,500 and $84,100.
• Support and resistance: One tracker flags $80,442 as a level to watch, with a break below risking further downside. Resistance sits near the recent high of about $84,000.
• Sentiment: Neutral to slightly bearish. The Fear & Greed Index dropped to 50 today, a neutral reading. One indicator set shows 17 bearish signals against 15 bullish.

Bottom line: Bitcoin is consolidating after today’s dip. A hold above $80K keeps the range intact, while a close below it could open a deeper pullback. A clean push above $84K would be the first sign of renewed momentum.
