Ethereum has a Glamsterdam date to watch. It's for a testnet.
In its October 16 announcement, the Ethereum Foundation scheduled the Hoodi testnet upgrade for October 26, 2026 at 17:42:48 UTC. That's October 27 at 00:42:48 in Vietnam.
Hoodi node operators need compatible execution and consensus clients before activation. App developers should test whether the new gas-accounting rules affect their contracts and estimates.
For ordinary mainnet users, this announcement requires no action. The mainnet activation date hasn't been decided.
Watch the official client release tables and testnet results. A successful rehearsal is useful engineering evidence; it isn't a promised price move. Even blockchains need a dress rehearsal before the big stage.
