A project becomes fragile when essential knowledge exists only in the memory of one developer.

If that person becomes unavailable, maintaining contracts, understanding integrations, or responding to incidents may become unnecessarily difficult.

TRON-based projects can reduce this dependency by documenting architectural decisions, maintaining useful tests, and ensuring that critical procedures are understood by more than one qualified contributor.

Code reviews and shared ownership also help distribute technical knowledge over time.

The objective is not to make every contributor an expert in every component. It is to ensure that essential responsibilities can continue when team membership changes.

Resilient engineering depends on both software design and the ability of people to maintain that software responsibly.
