"Binance will never ask you to send crypto."

That's not my advice — that's word-for-word from Binance's own scam alert last September. And it's the one sentence that kills 90% of the scams running on Square right now.

Three patterns to burn into memory:

1. THE DOUBLING GIVEAWAY. "Send 0.1 $BTC , get 0.2 back — celebrating 100K followers!" The address is real. The giveaway isn't. No legitimate giveaway ever asks you to send first. Your coins land, and they're gone.

2. THE IMPERSONATOR. A "Binance Support" or "CZ" account DMs you about a "verification issue" or a "locked airdrop." Real support never slides into your DMs first. Check the handle, the follower count, the tick — then still don't click the link.

3. THE AVATAR-CONTACT SELLER. Bio reads "VIP signals, t.me/xxx" or the avatar itself is a WhatsApp number. Here's the tell nobody mentions: dragging you off Square is a Level 1 violation in the October terms. If their "opportunity" can't survive on the platform, it's because the platform would ban it.

The common thread every time: urgency ("claim in 24h!"), secrecy, and moving you somewhere Binance can't see.
