Adam Back isn't Satoshi. Here's why:
Back invented Hashcash in 1997 - the proof-of-work system that inspired $BTC mining. Satoshi cited his work in the whitepaper. But that's where it ends.
If Back was Satoshi, why would he:
- Publicly dismiss Bitcoin's viability for YEARS after launch
- Only join Blockstream in 2014, 5 years after genesis block
- Show zero early involvement in Bitcoin development
- Need Satoshi to explain his own Hashcash concept back to him in emails
Satoshi was a coder who shipped. Back is a cryptographer who theorized. Different DNA.
The smoking gun? Satoshi's C++ implementation style doesn't match Back's coding patterns. Any dev can see it.
