: A ROADSTER CAN WIN THE HEADLINES. CAN IT MOVE THE INCOME STATEMENT?
The recent Roadster demonstration has put “flying car” excitement back in the spotlight. That does not establish near-term revenue or commercial scale.
Before treating it as an earnings catalyst, I would ask:
1️⃣ When can customers actually take delivery?
2️⃣ What production volume is realistic?
3️⃣ What costs, approvals and margins are involved?
4️⃣ Has management quantified a financial contribution?
My view: exciting engineering can strengthen a brand, but an earnings thesis needs numbers. I would not assume Roadster revenue is material to Q3.
Would you buy one—or would you rather see Tesla improve its core business first?
