$ETH founder, Vitalik Buterin is pushing for “EIP-8288 maximalism.”

The idea is simple: heavy cryptography should be handled on the client side, converted into STARK proofs, and verified through aggregation rather than adding more precompiles to Ethereum.

This could make it easier to support new cryptographic systems without loading more complexity onto the main chain.

Ethereum doesn’t need to execute every heavy computation itself if it can verify proof that the work was done correctly.

The challenge now is making this approach secure, practical, and efficient enough to work at scale.
