Qubic said the network halted operations Sunday after an attacker reportedly exploited weakly generated wallet seeds to steal approximately $1.4 million from more than 1,400 accounts. Qubic said 87.1% of the stolen funds remain frozen on the network. Qubic said MEXC froze the receiving account for the remaining 12.9% within about an hour. Qubic said the latest web wallet version fixes the seed-generation flaw. Qubic's core team is preparing recovery options for a vote by network validators called Computors, but Qubic has not announced when operations will restart.
