Looking at $AVA prep on the one hour chart today I see a very classic post pump consolidation phase. The price ran up hard to 0.4226 and is now taking a breather around 0.39.

What stands out to me is how the price is interacting with the moving averages. The seven period moving average right at 0.3903 is currently acting as immediate short term support. I always find it educational to watch how price reacts at these dynamic levels after a big move. If buyers defend this yellow line we might see a continuation higher. However if we see a strong close below it the next logical area of interest is the twenty five moving average down at 0.3748.

I am choosing to sit on my hands right now. Trading inside a tight consolidation range is often a trap for impatient traders. I would rather wait to see if this base holds and forms a higher low before looking for an entry. Patience is a huge part of risk management in volatile conditions.
