I believe Nillion is working on something that could become increasingly important for both AI and Web3: using valuable data without compromising privacy.
Blockchains are generally designed around transparency, which is useful, but it can create challenges when sensitive information is involved. Nillion aims to address this through secure data storage and computation on encrypted information, a concept known as Blind Computation.
What interests me most is Covenants. The concept allows protected instructions to become usable only when specific conditions are met. This could open up exciting possibilities for trading strategies, AI agents, confidential data management, and other applications where privacy is essential.
With Dusk, the first Covenant release on Ethereum mainnet, this vision becomes even more compelling. It offers an interesting look at how privacy-focused applications could operate while still benefiting from Ethereum’s ecosystem.
I’m looking forward to seeing how Nillion’s roadmap evolves and what developers create with this technology. In my view, the real opportunity lies in making privacy easier to implement without sacrificing the advantages of blockchain.
As AI and Web3 continue to handle increasingly valuable data, privacy could become one of the most important areas of innovation.
What do you think will be the most valuable real-world use case for Covenants?
