Visa Direct has moved its USDC prefunding service from pilot to commercial use, with Inyo Global becoming the first processor to make it available to eligible businesses.

Through Inyo’s existing payment APIs, payment companies can use $USDC to prefund cross-border payouts in near real time, including outside traditional banking hours. The change concerns how businesses fund payouts, not a requirement for recipients to receive stablecoins.

Visa introduced its stablecoin prefunding pilot in 2025. The rollout remains subject to geographic and customer eligibility rules, and #Visa has not disclosed transaction volumes for the new service.
