Coinbase has warned customers holding $BLAST that tokens left on the exchange after the October 26, 2026 shutdown deadline will no longer be accessible through Coinbase. The warning follows the planned closure of Blast, an Ethereum layer-2 network whose team says operating costs have exceeded network revenue.
The deadline has different implications depending on where assets are held. Blast says users can withdraw through its regular interface until October 26. After that, remaining assets are expected to be recoverable only by interacting directly with bridge contracts on Ethereum ( $ETH ). That does not guarantee recovery of BLAST tokens left in a Coinbase account.
Coinbase’s official status notice remains active. Users should check the exchange’s current withdrawal instructions and confirm destination-network compatibility before transferring. This is an existing shutdown notice, not a newly announced incident.
