man i just went down this nillion rabbit hole and honestly. im kind of impressed but also skeptical at the same time? like blind computation sounds cool right, storing and processing encrypted data without decrypting it. but i ve heard these promises before from other projects and they usually disappoint.
the thing is.if they actually pull this off it could be huge for ai and trading data. like think about it, you could run models on sensitive data without ever seeing it. thats kind of insane when you really think about it. but heres the problem execution in crypto is always harder than the whitepaper makes it look.
the 7-era roadmap thing feels a bit overengineered to me honestly. why not just ship product instead of promising 7 phases? reminds me of those projects that roadmap themselves into oblivion. dusk on ethereum mainnet is interesting though, actually shipping something.
my gut says this could either be a top 50 project or completely forgotten in two years. theres no in-between with these infrastructure plays. the covenants feature is intriguing but i cant figure out if its actually useful or just buzzword soup.
im probably gonna grab a small bag honestly. the tech seems legit enough to gamble on. but im not going all in on anything that promises to solve privacy because thats been crypto's white whale forever. we'll see i guess.
