Dusk Just Made Onchain Trading Intentions Private, Not Just Onchain Balances

Most privacy work in crypto hides what already happened, the amount, the sender, the wallet.

Nillion is building something different with Covenants:

hiding what you're about to do until it's already done. A Covenant is an encrypted instruction, sell at X, bid in an auction, release a payment on a condition, sealed onchain so nobody can read it while it waits.

When the condition triggers, it opens and executes itself. No keeper bot, no third party holding your intent and promising not to peek.

what I like most about this is the problem it actually targets. Pull up any perp venue's liquidation map and you're looking at thousands of traders' exit levels, visible hours before they matter.

that's not a leak, that's just how transparent chains work by default, and it's exactly why stop hunts and copy-trading on vault strategies are so easy right now. Covenants remove that exposure at the source instead of patching around it.

Dusk is the first release of this, era one of a seven-era roadmap running through 2028, and it's meant to be live on Ethereum mainnet now, not a testnet demo.

anyone can create a Covenant, run a node, or build with the SDK today.

what I'm most curious about next: the roadmap scope here is deliberately narrow, price or clock-based conditions only, because that's what works without a trusted party. Watching how that expands over the next six eras is the real story.
