I stopped getting excited about new crypto projects a while ago. Every cycle has the same script: a narrative, a pile of tokens, loud influencers, then silence. Now it's AI, and most "crypto x AI" is a chatbot with a coin stapled on.
So I almost ignored Nillion. What kept me reading was the problem, which is annoyingly real. Blockchains show everything to everyone, which is useless for medical records, trading strategies, or whatever your AI agent knows about you. Encrypting data is easy. Computing on it without opening it up is the hard part.
Will developers actually choose it over the easy, insecure option? Does the token need to exist? I don't know. Privacy tech has a long record of being brilliant and ignored.
So I'm cautiously curious, nothing more. If it works, it'll be quiet and boring. I'll watch what people build on it, not what people say about it.
