What If Your Trading Strategy Could Stay Private Until Execution?

One of the biggest challenges in onchain trading is that transparency can expose your intentions before your trade even executes. When other market participants can observe your planned actions, it becomes easier to anticipate strategies, target exit levels, or react before your order is triggered.

This is why I find Covenants by @Nillion particularly interesting. A Covenant is an encrypted instruction that nobody can read while it waits for its specified condition to be met. Once that condition is satisfied, the instruction unlocks and executes. Imagine setting a stop-loss, placing a sealed auction bid, or scheduling a payment without revealing the instruction in advance.

What makes this development more significant is that Dusk is now live on Ethereum mainnet. This is a real mainnet launch, not a testnet preview. Developers can create Covenants, run a node, and build using the SDK.

Dusk is only the first era of Nillion’s seven-era roadmap, with more releases planned before the end of the year. I’m particularly interested in how future developments could expand private trading strategies and automated onchain execution without requiring a third party to hold or manage sensitive instructions.

For me, the real opportunity is making blockchain transparency compatible with strategic privacy. I’ll be watching how this technology develops as Encrypted Markets evolve.

Which use case excites you most: a stop-loss that stays hidden until triggered, or an auction bid that remains sealed until the auction closes?
