$SLC is going after a problem most people probably don’t think about, the lack of language/voice AI data. There are around 7,000 languages spoken around the world, but only a fraction have enough recorded speech for today’s voice technology to work well. You can build a great model, but if there isn’t enough real speech data behind a language, there’s only so far that technology can go. Silencio is gathering noises, voices, and languages from around the world and putting them into a data layer. More data from more people means better language coverage and, eventually, voice technology that works for a much bigger part of the world. The data is the foundation and Silencio has figured out a way to capture that data on a global scale across 180+ countries.
