$CAKE is down 3.5% on the day while PancakeSwap's own proposal would cut new emissions by about 69%. the market is shrugging at that.

the proposal is called The Flip. per the PancakeSwap team's own posts, LPs on v3 and Infinity would keep 88% of swap fees, and 15,500 fewer CAKE would be minted every day, with v2 burns continuing. that's the team's claim and it's still a forum discussion, not a passed vote.

why i care: a DEX wins on depth and slippage, and depth comes from LPs who go where they keep more. paying LPs more while printing less is a rare combo where sell pressure shrinks and the product gets better. the catch is the protocol gives up fee share, so volume has to hold.

$CAKE trades at $2.17 right now, inside a $2.13 to $2.25 day. if it holds $2.13, i think the emission cut gets priced in and it retests $2.25. if it loses $2.13, i'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend, and anyone long here is sitting on a fresh low for the day with the vote still open.

holds $2.13 or loses it before the vote?
