$MS TESTS $181 SUPPORT AMID SELLING PRESSURE

I’m keeping a close eye on Morgan Stanley ( $MS) as the stock trades around $181.31 following a significant pullback from its recent high near $237.39.

Despite the recent weakness, the company’s long-term performance remains noteworthy, with historical annualized returns of 18.83% over the past decade, reportedly outperforming the broader market by 5.17%.

In my view, the current setup reflects a battle between short-term technical weakness and longer-term investment fundamentals.

The stock is trading below its 5-day moving average of $188.06, a 10-day average of $189.04, and a 30-day average of $194.69, suggesting that selling pressure remains in control for now.

From a technical perspective, I’m watching $174.65 as the key support level and $188 as the first major resistance zone.

A sustained hold above support could create room for stabilization, while a recovery above $188 would be an early sign that bullish momentum may be returning.

For now, I believe patience is essential. Morgan Stanley’s historical performance provides useful context, but past returns do not guarantee future results.

The key question is whether buyers can defend current levels and push the stock back above its short-term moving averages.
