The Concordium Agent Registry gives AI agents a persistent, discoverable on-chain identity (via CIS-8004 tokens compatible with ERC-8004) that is linked to a verified human or business owner through the protocol’s identity layer. Each agent can carry a Verified by Concordium badge usable across supported chains. Counterparties can verify ownership and authorization status without the owner’s personal data being revealed, using zero-knowledge proofs. The registry has been live since May 2026 and already supports real agent activity. This design addresses the accountability gap that pure discovery standards leave open: agents can transact, but a verified principal remains responsible. It is particularly relevant as agent-to-agent and agent-to-service payments scale. $CCD
