One thing I have noticed about crypto is that attention and value are two completely different things, yet the market often treats them as if they are the same.
A token can trend, attract thousands of buyers, and reach a ridiculous valuation without offering much beyond a narrative. Meanwhile, a project can spend months building something genuinely useful and struggle to get anyone to pay attention.
But I also think builders need to understand something: being useful is not enough if nobody knows you exist. Distribution matters. Community matters. Attention matters.
The real question is what happens after you get that attention.
Can you turn it into something people actually use? Can you build something that keeps delivering value after the hype moves elsewhere? And can people see what is happening behind the scenes instead of having to take every promise at face value?
Getting attention is one thing. Giving people a reason to stay is another.
Hype can bring people through the door. What you build determines whether there is anything worth staying for.
